This page explains how to use ToyPal One safely and how to report a product or security concern. It supplements the instructions supplied with the product. Always follow any more specific warning on the product, packaging or supplied instructions.

Intended use

ToyPal One is a rechargeable audio device for children aged 3 to 8. An adult attaches it to a compatible soft toy and uses the parent-managed ToyPal app to choose and start audio. The soft toy is not included.

ToyPal One is not suitable for children under 3. Adult setup, charging, attachment and regular inspection are required.

Before each use

An adult should:

  • check the casing, attachment, charging port, cable and soft toy for damage;
  • make sure ToyPal One is fully closed and locked securely to the soft toy;
  • keep the charging cable away from the child during play;
  • make sure the chosen soft toy remains suitable for the child’s age; and
  • confirm that playback volume is comfortable for the child and surroundings.

The attachment contains a pointed pin. Only an adult should open, position, lock or remove it. Keep the exposed pin away from children while attaching or removing ToyPal One.

Stop using ToyPal One if it no longer attaches securely or if the device, attachment, cable or soft toy is damaged.

Charging and battery safety

An adult must charge ToyPal One using the supplied USB-C cable and a suitable 5 V USB power source. The rechargeable device input is 500 mA. Do not use a damaged or unsuitable power source.

Do not charge ToyPal One in a child’s bed, cot or play area. Keep it dry while charging and do not cover it. Disconnect it when charging is complete. Do not open, puncture, crush, burn, modify or expose the device or battery to excessive heat or water.

If the device becomes unusually hot, swells, leaks, develops an unusual smell or makes an unexpected sound, disconnect it if safe to do so, keep it away from children and combustible materials, and contact us.

Listening safely

A grown-up should choose a comfortable volume, avoid placing the speaker directly against the ear and give the child regular listening breaks.

Privacy by design

ToyPal One has no microphone or camera. The app is managed by an adult. Read our Privacy Notice and App & Child Privacy Notice for information about the app and online services.

Cleaning and care

Switch ToyPal One off and disconnect the charging cable before cleaning. Wipe the outside with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it. Do not immerse it, put it in a washing machine, use solvents or allow liquid into the speaker openings or charging port.

Remove ToyPal One before washing the soft toy and follow the soft toy manufacturer’s care instructions.

Keep the order confirmation, packaging and any product or batch information supplied with ToyPal One. These details help us investigate a fault, safety report or recall.
